Played EQ2 for 1 year. It broke my heart to leave, but I just couldn't justify all the extra charges they wanted you to pay, then pay for your character slots, and all the broken stuff while they pushed new content. After playing WoW, then Vanguard, we decided to venture back to EQ2 Test. The environment was much changed, but the people were still awesome. It was like coming home after a long journey. Still intending to return, but the guildhall is closed while we pursue RL summer adventures.

Still technically playing  WoW. Played for 18months. Found the game to be fun, with sleek, easy  to render graphics, so any system can play it. In fact, any one can play it, even a well trained monkey. Wanted a bit....more...

Before my wife got me into EQ, I was content playing D2, getting ganked fairly regularly by the PK'ers that camped the portals after offering to help you out.  EQ was a fun world to be in, but my wife likes to craft, and the idea for crafting then was running around PoK slapping your arrows together while trying to get buffed before your LDoN run.

EQII had greener pastures.  Those pastures would have stayed that way too, if it hadn't been for the fact they couldn't be bothered to fix stuff.  I was a lvl 36 carpenter when we moved on, and there was a level 12 or so carpet I had been /bugging once a week, every week. and it still wasn't fixed, cause it tried to stick itself to the wall sideways. that on top of the stuff she said up there spelled the end for EQII.

WoW.... fun game, kind of  brainless at times.... really rich lore, but, for me the death knell was the end game structure.  Watched as our guild started fighting over loot and then over raiding, and then, it seemed, just for the fun of it.  Still have accounts, still poke my head in to say hi, but the destruction of our circle of WoW friends in conjuction with, once again, my wifes need to craft.... and my curiosity over Diplomacy . . . well . . . time to move on.

Moved on to Vanguard..... good game, beautiful world, buggy yuck! and we decided to give it another six months or so.... so.... lo and behold, back to WoW for a while.... new server.... new friends (and some old ones, too).... see how that goes.
